Commissioned Fantasy Portraits, Formal Portraits and Landscape Paintings

Imagine a portrait that goes beyond a likeness. Whether a portrait of yourself, a loved one, or even a symbol of your winery, working together we can create a lasting piece of art that personafies the dreams, interests and personal symbology of a unique individual. Your painting will be a beautiful conversation piece for your home, office or tasting room. Commission a painting now and I will guarantee delivery by the holidays.
The cost for a portrait like the one above is $3600. This price is for a 24X36 to a 24X48. If you'd prefer a different ratio it will be based on the square inch. For instance, a 32X36 inch painting will cost the same as a 24X48—also $3600. A larger painting will be priced accordingly. Smaller paintings are based on the square inch as well but $2400 is the minimum price of a commissioned portrait. I require a 50% deposit to book the commission and begin the process. The remaining balance is due upon completion.
I primarily paint in oil on canvas. I prefer to work with the subject and take my own photos to work from but I am happy to work from existing photos as well and have a great deal of experience doing so.
The process for creating a portrait takes between six weeks and four months depending on scheduling and complexity. I work closly with the client throughout the process, communicating with regular updates and progress images.
I will supply a list of previous clients as references upon request.

I also paint commissioned landscapes and have painted several properties in the North Bay. I love the light and character of the landscape in wine country and work to capture the essence of the land in my paintings. These paintings are a great addition to a tasting room, home or office.
